Belle Marre beach (Mauritius)

One of the most beautiful beaches on the east coast of Mauritius.

Advantages :

Long white sandy beach

Beach less frequented than the western beaches (Flic en flac) or the northern beaches (Perebeyre, Mont Choisy), which allows you to stay calm, especially during the week.

Large lawn allowing collective play (football, volleyball etc...)

Suitable for children as shallow water over several meters but parental supervision remains essential

Wind from the trade winds which is refreshing in summer (November to May)

Near the town of Flacq where is located the main commercial area of the east of the island

Toilet nearby

Disadvantages :

Far from the main economic zones (Port Louis, Ebène, Grand Bay etc...)

Some stray dogs come to keep you company during your meal

A lot of corals in the water

To avoid in winter because of the trade winds, which are cooler during this period (June to October).
